Obviously, the Crue is for the Metal Heads, but you can't make music lines that appeal to everyone... they're going to appeal to fans of that particular act.
If someone made Garth Brooks figures, I wouldn't buy one... but I'm sure there would be a bunch of people who would.

baimun...I give you much credit for maintaining a positive attitude with the new Mctoy line. I've seen your thread on the white board...and it does put things in perspective. You probably know a lot more than I do, but with no pics of the new lines, it's hard to get psyched by the descriptions...

I don't know what goes on behind the scenes with licenses, but to see Led Zep be replaced by the Crue was dissapointing.
To be honest, I have no fucking idea what toys **** is releasing, and never really heard of the company until the recent board wars...so I have nothing intelligent to add to that debate.

That "company who's name shall not be spoken here" has several ex-McFarlane sculptors on their staff.
One in particular (Tankman) is quite talented.
The main problem that they have is average to sub-par (compared to McF) production translation of those prototypes. Apparently the larger figures have been much better.
I personally don't hate them... I'm just not interested in the lines they produce. I like Spawn, big robots, monsters, and such. I hear they're making a big Balrog monster from LotR... I wouldn't buy any hobbits or anything, but I'd buy a beastie like that.
Other than that, I'm SUPER PSYCHED about all the Series 25, 26, Reborn 2, and the Conan stuff!!!! [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]
Part of me wonders if being fired from McFarlane has made some of the N-company employees bitter....
